Sworn into office were: Male Co-President Ivan Walker, Jr., Vice President Carmalynn Pinal, Secretary / Treasurer DeAndra Antonio, and District III Rep. Leah Urbanski.

The newly sworn in officers were elected by the Youth Council to fill officer vacancies. Each officer will serve until the Fall of 2015.

“The Youth Council requires a lot of commitment from our youth and our officers. The Council meets regularly, coordinates fundraisers, hosts events and attends conferences throughout the year. All of this is accomplished by our youth, with the help of a strong team of adult advisors. Unfortunately, not everyone can commit the time and fulfill that obligation. I know that we have a really great group of officers who will continue to lead our Youth Council, and I look forward to the great things they will accomplish,” said Kyle Goklish, JOM Program Coordinator and Youth Council Advisor.

The White Mountain Apache Youth Council is affiliated with the national UNITY organization and is represented by youth throughout every district of the Fort Apache Indian Reservation.
