Area Non-Profits Receive $12,000 in Funding from Cliff Castle Casino

VVCA DonationCamp Verde, AZ – Cliff Castle Casino announced today that they awarded $12,000 in funding to three Verde Valley
area non-profit organizations. Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters, Verde Valley Caregivers Coalition and Citizens Committee for the Camp Verde Library were each chosen to receive a $4,000 donation from Cliff Castle Casino. Checks were awarded during a recent presentation ceremony.
“Cliff Castle Casino believes in giving back to the community.  We are proud to support caring organizations across northern Arizona that are making an impact on the quality of life in our area,” stated Mary Ketterling, General Manager of Cliff Castle Casino.

In its ongoing Community Impact Program, Cliff Castle Casino has donated over $170,000 to over 30 non profits over the past 9 years, Cliff Castle Casino is committed to helping local organizations that provide much needed services to the residents of the Verde Valley and surrounding communities.

Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters. Founded in 1971, Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters currently serves over 1,000 youth in one-to-one relationships. Our service area encompasses 20 communities and 65 schools throughout Yavapai County and Sedona.  “We are tremendously grateful to Cliff Castle Casino for their above and beyond generosity of a $4,000 gift to create life changing friendships for children in the Sedona-Verde Valley region who face such tremendous adversity!  The Casino has been a long-term community partner in supporting mentoring relationships for Bigs with Littles.  Due to their generosity and the generosity of our wonderful Sedona-Verde Valley community we were able to serve over 100 children and impact over 400 family members as well as the children’s mentors.”  Christine Clouse, President and CEO, Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters

Verde Valley Caregivers Coalition provides volunteers, programs and services to support adults in need of assistance in maintaining their independence and quality of life at home. “We thank Cliff Castle Casino for honoring us with this gift. Their support will benefit older adults who live alone and need our help.” VVCC Board President George Ault.

Citizens Committee for the Camp Verde Library supports and promotes a permanent Endowment Fund to accept contributions and gifts for the long term benefit of the Camp Verde Community Library. CCCVL is dedicated to bringing people and resources together to support the Camp Verde Community Library.  “Cliff Castle Casino has added immensely to the Camp Verde Community.  They provide entertainment, employment, and attract tourism.  But they have also been actively benefiting the community. Citizen’s Committee for Camp Verde Library has been grateful for their support in the past for several of our fundraising events.  This recent donation is most welcome for our wonderful new library.”  Linda Harkness, President CCCVL
